Woodlands offers affordable family and pet-friendly self-catering accommodation in 8 free-standing cottages and 3 rooms in the main house. A variety of layouts allow us to cater for individuals sharing rooms, couples, small families, and multiple cottages for those who need space for a large group. We can accommodate up to 50 people. The cottages are tucked away in a lush indigenous garden with access to their own unique and secluded boma bath, making us ideal for the perfect romantic getaway. The bush camping area has a toilet, shower and washing up facilities for up to 6 pitches.

Guests can enjoy a delicious meal or a drink at the Goat Shed bush bistro & bar which is open Wednesday to Sunday, 12 to 9 (7 days a week during season). Additional facilities on-site include a swimming pool, games room (with pool table and table tennis) and a large lounge area with TV.
Enjoy the stress-free environment by relaxing next to the pool, wandering down the path to the river, or at the on-site bar. Spectacular unspoilt beaches, estuaries and rivers are right on the doorstep ready to explore.
We want people to enjoy the outdoors, the beach and our beautiful rivers. From Woodlands and nearby you have the option to experience kayaks, paddles boats, river cruises, bush walks and horse riding. We also get good rates from the nearby game reserve called Sibuya for day trips to see the Big 5 and we are 70 km from Addo Elephant Park. The 38km Bushmans River and the 18km Kariega River are both tidal (the ocean tide comes in and out every 6 hours). When selecting your outdoor experience please allow for some flexibility and regrouping based on weather conditions. It?s best to roll with nature on this.
Boma is a 2 sleeper cottage with a king bed that can be split into two single beds if required - just ask at least 24 hours before arrival. The cottage has its own fully-equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower and a rustic outside boma bath.
The rustic bush camping area has a shared ablution block with toilet, shower and washing up facilities for up to 6 pitches. No electric hookups are available but there is a plug in the shared campsite kitchen to charge small devices. Bring your own tent.
Bush is a 2 sleeper cottage with a king bed that can be split into two single beds if required - just ask at least 24 hours before arrival. The cottage has its own fully-equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower and a rustic outside boma bath.
Family Room 1 is suited to accommodate 6 people, containing 2 bunk beds and 2 single beds. It has access to a shared bathroom with a shower and bath in the guesthouse. Guests have access to a fully-equipped communal kitchen in the main house.
Family Room 2 is ideal for 2 adults and 4 kids. It comprises a king bed and two bunk beds with an en-suite bathroom. It benefits from it’s own entrance onto a small patio with views towards the sea. Guests have access to a shared kitchen in the main house.
Family Room 3 is ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids. It comprises a king bed and a bunk bed with an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, shower and bath. Guests have access to a fully-equipped communal kitchen in the main house.
Hide-Away Cottage is suited to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. This unit has one kitchen/lounge/diner with a king bed that can be split into two single beds if required, and one with a bunk bed in the living area.
Hornbill is a rustic cottage with 2 en-suite bedrooms. Room 1 has a king bed that can be split into two single beds if required. Room 2 has three bunk beds. The cottage has a large kitchenette, an open plan lounge and outdoor braai.
Loerie is a cottage with a queen bed, its own fully-equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, and a seating area. It also has a private outdoor braai and an outside boma bath. There are two bedside lamps with USB charging.
This cottage has 2 en-suite bedrooms with showers, sleeping 5 people, a fully-equipped kitchen with a gas stove and hob, a lounge, plenty of deck space and an outside braai area making this the perfect family cottage.
Ngwenya; a small cottage with a king bed that can be split into two single beds if required - just ask at least 24 hours before arrival - and en-suite bathroom with a shower, a small deck, and access to the shared fully-equipped kitchen in the main house.
This brick-built unit has 2 separate en-suite rooms, the first has a double bed and two bunk beds, the second has a double bed, 2 single beds and a bunk bed.The unit has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and gas hob, a lounge, dining area and braai.
